Jesus House Board and Associates
Our Board of Directors is committed to sharing their gifts, talents, and expertise to support Jesus House Society's Mission and Vision. By guiding our major initiatives and strategic decisions, they help us best utilize our resources to provide a sacred space for spiritual seekers.
Susan Booker : Mrs. Booker is the Board Secretary and Development Manager for SmartDrive. More recently, Mrs. Booker served as Director of Development for St. Paul’s Church and School in Wilmington, and as Campus Minister at Ursuline Academy. Currently, Mrs. Booker is acting President and member of the Board of Directors for the Mass for the Homeless/Music With A Mission, a Centennial Committee Member of the Music School of Delaware, Treasurer of the Richard’s Alley Homeowners Association, a member of the Capital Campaign and Advancement Committees of Ursuline Academy, and a member of the Ursuline Associates.
Jose Burgos, Board Secretary: Operations Mgr. @ Everfast Inc. Jesus House Board Member for 10 yrs. including cooking for Jesus House retreats and managing the key facilities projects. Married to Pam. 3 children, 5 grandchildren.
Patricia N. Debski, Board Secretary: A Jesus House Volunteer and Retreatant for 20+ years. Passionate about making spirit-inspired connections, e.g. working with women in recovery, as part of Jesus House's Days of Hope ministry. Currently, a strategy and marketing consultant who likes to create the big picture and connect the small details. Former DuPont business, marketing and strategic planning manager (25+ years); Graduate of Bucknell University, BA Physics. Previous board member - Sojourner's Place (2013-2016); Steering Committee member and Marketing leader for Career Insights for Teens (2008 - 2013); Strategic planning for Resurrection Parish (2010 - 2013). Married to Dave and has 2 children.
Jim Delaney: Technical Manager for BASF/Ciba; Volunteered at Jesus House, Delaware Food Bank, Richey School, Emmanuel Dining Room; Resurrection Parish member; Masters degree in Chemistry; Married to Anita and have 2 sons.
Steve Grise, Board Treasurer: Chemical Engineer, Chemours Company. Volunteer at Resurrection Parish as Music Minister, Youth Coordinator. Previous Volunteer Positions: Resurrection Parish Liturgy Committee Chair, Pastoral Council. Steve feels blessed to have experienced Jesus House through many different eyes. As a helper in the kitchen, a participant in Cursillo and Christ's Renews His Parish, and as a team member for many retreats. He has witnessed people touched by God in indescribable ways, all becaus eof a sacred place called Jesus House.
Chris Malmgren, Jr., Board Vice President: Chris grew up on the Jesus House property; his parents were the founders. He is familiar with the long history and the new initiatives that we are currently focusing on. He is a Volunteer at B+ Foundation. And, a long-time volunteer at Jesus House. Married to Yolanda and father to Christian.
James (Jim) H Murray III: Retired. Former owner/operator Stanton Exxon; prior to holding a number of marketing and administration with Exxon Mobil for 23 years. Alumnus of Loyola University Baltimore MD. Member Parrish of the Resurrection for 20 plus years. Past member of Parish Council. Current member of Parrish Finance Committee. Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion. Active with Churchman's Village Eucharistic Ministry; Meals on Wheels; RES Community Garden; and, Team Leader Offertory donation reconciliation (count $). Jesus House Board Member past 18 months. Active member of Development Committee and Finance Committee. Spouse Christine; three children; and, four grand children.
Pamela Nash: is a certified Spiritual Director with her Masters in Pastoral Care and Counseling from Neumann University. Previously Pamela worked for the DuPont Co. for 32 years in various managerial positions and retired to pursue her spiritual ministry. She has worked in a variety of ministries for the past twenty years and is the team leader of RCIA at Holy Family Parish. She is also on the Diocesan Liturgy Committee as Coordinator of RCIA. Most recently Pamela continues to conduct retreat programs and Group Spiritual Direction from her home, as well as one-on-one Spiritual Direction.
Anita Wood, Board President : Spiritual Director and Retreat Leader for Gloria Dei. Anita has been doing spiritual direction, retreats, and facilitation of small faith groups for 13 years. She has spiritual direction certificates from Shalem institute and the Jesuit Center in Wernersville, PA. Anita is currently training to be a supervisor of spiritual directors at Neumann University. Anita has a Masters in Religious Education from Boston College and was a Director of Religious Education in several Catholic parishes over the years.
