A retreat for anyone who has suffered the pain and grief of loss.
Grief spawns many questions about God’s love and personal concern for us. Often we feel alone, paralyzed by our emotions, and lost in questions about what our life is now without our loved one. This day of reflection gives participants the opportunity to explore their questions about God in a safe environment, learn about the dynamics of grief, work out questions of where their lives are now, and make meaning in the new world of which they are now a part. This day gives time for group discussion and one-on-one grief care by Sister Rosie. Communal prayer and worship are part of the schedule. Please bring a notebook for personal reflection.
Sister Rosie Castelli, Ed.D., OP, holds degrees in history and philosophy from Caldwell University and Fairleigh Dickinson University, and a doctorate in educational psychology and leadership from Widener University. She also has five professional certificates in grief counseling, funeral celebrancy, stress management, pastoral thanatology, and funeral services. She is a Fellow in the American Academy of Grief Counseling.
Sister Rosie is a member of the Episcopal Church of St Andrew and Matthew, Wilmington, Delaware, and is a member of the Anglican Order of Preachers (Dominicans).
