Mary, Maternal Mother of Mercy and Oasis of Peace: Art, Stories and Reflections with Bro. Mickey McGrath

Brother Mickey McGrath paints, writes, and tell stories - and he travels all around North America telling the stories behind his paintings.  Brother Mickey McGrath has said that he loves giving talks and retreats because it is where he gets to share more fully the deep connections between art and faith-and more importantly, hope and joy! To him, life is all about seeing familiar, ordinary things with new eyes, the eyes of the heart. Come share the day and see the world with your heart!

Throughout history, from cave to the cosmos, Mary has been for many at the very heart of our prayers and devotions.  Pope Francis has said the Church should be a Maternal Womb of Mercy, a home of joy and love, not a cold institution. Bro. Mickey shares his colorful paintings, inspired by the Gospel and lives of the saints from across time.  Feel the healing power of beauty and joy-and a reminder of the gentle and loving Maternal side of God…

Join Bro. Mickey as he shares his colorful and original paintings which honor traditions but look at them in fresh new ways for our anxious and fast-moving times.
