50th Anniversary Christian Strong Benefit

On March 20, 2026 Jesus House will hold its 50th Anniversary and Christian Strong Benefit Celebration at the Hockessin Fire Hall. The event will honor Angie and Chris Malmgren, founders of Jesus House, and their grandson, Christian Dominic Malmgren who battled childhood cancer with faith, hope and courage until he earned his Angel Wings in 2021, just months before his high school graduation. The evening of celebration includes dinner, music, dancing and raffle prizes. Proceeds will benefit Jesus House and the Christian Strong Initiative “Be the Light” Scholarship. We hope that you will join us for this milestone celebration by sponsoring this special event.

Fr. Brian Zumbrum, OSFS, LMSW currently serves as the Director of Activities at Salesianum High School.  A Licensed social worker, Fr. Brian's work has often occurred at the intersection between faith and pastoral care, and he has dedicated his last thirteen years as a priest working with youth, particularly marginalized youth.  As an Oblate of St. Francis de Sales, Fr. Brian has been a part of his religious community for close to 20 years, after graduating from DeSales University in 2007.  A lifelong learner, Fr. Brian holds an MDiv from the Washington Theological Union and a MSW from Simmons University that he earned in 2023.  In his free time, Fr. Brian loves reading, spending time with his beloved community of family and friends, enjoying the Marvel and Star Wars cinematic universes and travelling the country and globe.
